Each of us has moments in our lives in which we are especially busy and harassed, whether because of a simcha, such as the birth of a new baby, or for more difficult reasons, such as illness or the death of a loved one. At these times, members of the community are happy to help each other out and pitch in preparing meals, to at least take one worry off the table.
Volunteering is anonymous (via a confidential mailing list), and volunteers prepare, when needed, one dish, or more, at a frequency that is convenient for them.
The volunteers themselves bring food to members needing assistance, or, at times, by other volunteers that are prepared to deliver the food.
